Confirmed Participation in the HealthTech Challenge Program at the University of Canterbury!

Kia ora everyone!

I have some exciting news to share with you today. I recently had the opportunity to learn more about the concept of 'preventative healthcare,' which aligns perfectly with my vision for this salon.

I am thrilled to announce that I will be participating in the HealthTech Challenge program at the University of Canterbury. This program offers a unique opportunity to innovate in the realm of healthcare and well-being.

I firmly believe that as a hairstylist, I can make a meaningful contribution to preventative healthcare Through my Head Spa salon. By providing knowledge and insights to our clients on how to avoid illnesses, we can encourage them to engage with their health more frequently.

One example of this is the 'scalp check' using a microscope or regular data comparisons to track changes. It's about knowing when and how things are evolving so that proactive measures can be taken. For instance, if you notice any discomfort in your stomach, you might consider a H. pylori test or stool analysis. These are crucial components of preventative healthcare that often go overlooked due to limited opportunities for regular check-ups.

Through our salon, we aim to provide clients with regular check-ups and objective feedback, encouraging them to undergo necessary tests to maintain their health. While the journey to our grand opening is still long, I am committed to making the most of our limited time and working diligently towards our goal.

Thank you for your continued support.
